ST. GERMAIN, Wis. - Mark J. Haggard, 51, formerly of the Copper Country, died at a Woodruff, Wis., hospice on October 18, 2012, following a long battle with cancer.
He was born in Milwaukee on August 17, 1961, a son of Bernard Haggard and Carol (Ojala) Young. After graduating from Hancock High School in 1979, he then earned two associate degrees from Michigan Tech. He lived most of his adult life in Wisconsin.
He is survived by his father, Bernard of Calumet; his mother, Carol Young of Dollar Bay; his son, Jeffrey Outinen of Calumet; a brother, Daniel (JoAnn) Haggard of St. Germain, Wis.; a sister, Jill Laux of Hancock; two nephews, Jeffrey and Jamie Laux and a niece, Allyson Laux of Hancock; and by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A private family gathering will be held in November led by Fr. Brian Gerber of the Church of the Resurrection. Interment will be in the Pelkie Cemetery.
