Houghton Fire Department members are seen during a fire at the Michigan Technological University Archives Friday afternoon. Materials at the Archives suffered water damage in the fire, the cause of which is unknown. The fire closed down the J.R. Van Pelt and Opie Library for the day, according to a message sent out to students.
