To the editor:
Incumbent Rep. Matt Huuki is still the best choice for the House of Representatives for the 110th District.
I appreciate the hard work he has done for the people in his district. He has thoughtful policy positions, supports our military and veterans, champions for citizen's rights, and promotes government's fiscal responsibility. What Matt is doing is working. If you visit his website, you'll notice the many things he has done and his views.
There have been numerous falsehoods being said about Matt. How insulting to state he is for lobbyists and special interests. He has always had the interest of the people of the Upper Peninsula in mind. Look into some of his votes you are unsure about, and you'll see they make sense and are the best.
Considering Dianda's endorsements, it appears he will have to satisfy the big unions which would undermine the middle class because that is mainly who is endorsing him. He was the president of his statewide union, so I guess they figure they can count on him. He doesn't mention this much, though. With all the literature I'm getting from him and all the signs, the unions apparently are contributing a lot to him.
In Scott Dianda's ads instead of bringing up solutions he has, he attacks Matt. Attacking isn't an agenda. From his background and endorsements, it will probably be more tax and spend.
My main concern is the endorsements Dianda received from Planned Parenthood and the Michigan Good Guys. He states he is proudly pro-choice, and believes that a woman's health is an issue between her and her doctor. No protection for the unborn.
I prefer Matt's endorsements including Farm Bureau, National Federation of Independent Businesses, Small Business Association of Michigan and National Rifle Association.
The most important endorsement to me is the Right to Life of Michigan. Matt is strongly pro-life and will always stand for the unborn.
On Nov. 6 I hope you will vote for Matt Huuki too and give him more opportunities to serve the people in his district.
