Concerned resident

November 1, 2012
The Daily Mining Gazette

To the editor:

I am writing this letter as a concerned resident of Portage Township. I would like to see Bruce Petersen re-elected as township supervisor. Bruce excepted the position during a difficult time. He handled the issues very professionally. I see no reason for him not to be re-elected as our township supervisor.

As issues arise his qualifications make him the best candidate. He truly has the township's best interest in mind.

As a lifetime resident of Portage Township I have not met a more qualified person for the job. As stated in the League of Women Voters of the Copper Country Voter Guide, Bruce worked for six years with two state Department of Natural Resources plus 32 years with the U.S. Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service serving Houghton, Keweenaw, Baraga and Ontonagon counties.
