HOUGHTON - Below are the school board races on Houghton County ballots for the Nov. 6 election.
Adams Township School District
Darren Niemi (574) and Kristen Archambeau (522) were elected to two six-year terms; Thomas Wesa received 400 votes.
Public Schools of Calumet, Laurium & Keweenaw
Incumbents Larry Kristapovich and Phyllis Locatelli ran unopposed for six-year terms.
Baraga Area Schools (in Portage Township's Precinct 4)
Incumbent William Jondreau and Ralph Sackett ran unopposed for two four-year terms.
Chassell Township Schools
Incumbent Adrienne Hilman ran unopposed for a partial term ending in 2014.
Dollar Bay-Tamarack City Area Schools
Incumbents President Dallas Bond and Trustees Julie Dunstan, Donna Engman and Steve LeClaire ran unopposed for four-year terms.
Elm River Township Schools
Incumbent Laura Bigger ran for a partial term expiring Dec. 31, 2016.
Hancock Public Schools
Incumbent Chris Heikkinen and Glenn North ran unopposed for two four-year terms. Incumbent Paula Nutini, who was appointed by board members to fill a vacant seat, ran unopposed for a partial term ending Dec. 12, 2016.
Houghton-Portage Township Schools
Incumbents Brad Baltensperger and Nels Christopherson ran unopposed for two six-year terms.
L'Anse Area Schools (on the ballot in Duncan and Laird townships)
Incumbents Jason Ayres and Anne Koski ran unopposed for two six-year terms.
Lake Linden-Hubbell Public Schools
Incumbents Lori Ambuehl (954 votes) and Jeffrey Dennis (965) were elected to four-year terms; challenger Bob Erickson received 420. Incumbent Tom McConnon, who was appointed to the board last year, ran for a partial term ending Dec. 31, 2014.
