HOUGHTON - BHK has released the positions that have been cut due to recent financial crises, and they are as follows:
Operations bureau administrator
Program bureau administrator
Quality assurance administrator
Office of lean management
Safe environment/transportation quality assurance coordinators
Administrative assistant for eligibility, recruitment, selection, enrollment and attendance
Early literacy specialist
Toy librarian
Lead teacher of special program
Assistant teacher of special program
Caregiver of special program
Two consultant contracts
Executive Director Pat Rozich said that although positions have been eliminated, not all people associated with these positions have lost their jobs.
"There are two new positions being offered," Rozich said. "If (the persons offered the job) accept the new positions they'll start on Monday."
The positions being offered include an administrative secretary to the executive director and a position in human resources. Both newly created positions come with a reduced pay so as to be cost effective.
The next step in getting BHK out of its $1.2 million deficit involves selling unused real estate and buildings, which Rozich estimates could bring in hundreds of thousands of dollars.
