LAKE LINDEN - Reuben "Che-Boy" LaMothe, 78, of Tamarack City, passed away at Aspirus Wausau Emergency Room on Nov. 20, 2012.
He was born May 2, 1934, in Lake Linden, a son of Wallace and Eva (Beaudoin) LaMothe.
Reuben was employed by numerous logging companies including Silver Forest Products and Lake Superior Land. He worked as a millwright for 11 years at Louisiiana-Pacific Mill in Mohawk until it closed.
He owned and operated R.E. LaMothe Trucking until his retirement and later returned to work for Moyle Contracting as a truck driver. He also worked for a time for Paul Ziemnick installing septic systems and later for Pat Ziemnick Excavating until he retired again due to illness.
He loved riding his 4-wheeler on the local trails with friends, especially his good friend, Wally Tahtinen. He enjoyed his hobby farm, taking care of the donkeys and his Belgian horse, "Danny."
Reuben was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Wilbert Paquette and Roy LaMothe; sister, Berniece Carna.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra LaMothe of Tamarack City; daughters, Deborah (Evan) Armstrong, Diane LaMothe and Dorothy LaMothe; seven grandchildren, Kris, Bill, Travis, Tiffany, Erik, Christine and Ashley; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Rose (Art) Bubloni, Nancy (Joe) Collum, Patsy Salmi (Harry Clark), Pearl Krejci and Eleanor Karjailinen; brothers, Harold (Verna) LaMothe, Fran (Lynn) LaMothe and Bernard (Barbara) LaMothe; special sister-in-law, Shirley Paquette; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday in the Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden with Rev. Robert White to officiate. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of services in the funeral home. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery in Lake Linden.
