NEGAUNEE - Jeffers got a strong night from its top players Tuesday, as first-liners Travis Wesa and Tyler Bailey potted a pair of goals apiece in a 5-1 Lake Superior Hockey Conference win over Negaunee.
Both Bailey and Wesa struck in the first period, the former with 9:46 left and the latter with 1:38 to go, before Bailey made it 3-0 with 9:46 left in the second period.
Ross Michaels added his first tally of the season, shorthanded, late in the second period before Wesa's second, an unassisted power-play goal early in the third.
Michael Farley scored the lone goal for Negaunee 1:50 from the end.
Dax Durocher made 30 saves for the Jets, who return to action in the Joe Bukovich Classic at Dee Stadium Friday at 8 p.m. against Gaylord.
