GAYLORD - Jeffers ran into a speedy and deep Flint Powers team Friday and fell 6-0 in the first game of two in the Gaylord Division 3 Invitiational.
Powers outshot the Jets 25-18, putting the game away with a three-goal second period for a 4-0 lead after 34 minutes.
Dax Durocher made 19 saves for Jeffers (3-2).
Jeffers will play Big Rapids in the showcase event today.
In the Gil Versailles Memorial Tournament hosted by Escanaba, L'Anse got its first goals and first victory of the season, 5-2 over Negaunee.
The Purple Hornets (1-3) will get a chance to play for the tourney title today at 2:15 against the host Eskymos, who mercied Tomahawk, Wis. 9-1.
