Ronald E. “Andy”Anderson

LAKE LINDEN - Ronald E. Anderson, 76, a resident of Lake Linden, died on Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012, at Portage Health.

He was born in Hurontown on April 28, 1936, a son of the late Elmer and Angeline (Strozeski) Anderson and attended the Houghton High School.

On August 1, 1959, he married the former Sharon Stahl at St. Cecelia Catholic Church in Hubbell. She preceded him in death on Feb. 10, 1997.

Andy was employed as a pipefitter, traveling the Upper Peninsula to where the jobs were located. He was a member for 50-plus years with UA Local 111.

Andy was a member of the Catholic Faith. He enjoyed cooking and being in the outdoors where he loved to hunt and fish.

Family was most important to Andy, he cherished the time he spent with his children and grandkids.

Surviving are a son, Jeffrey (Trina) Anderson of Hubbell; two daughters, Shari (Brad) Waite of Neenah, Wis., and Terri Jackson of Chesterfield, Mich.; six grandchildren, Tyler Dessellier, Travis Dessellier and his fiancee, Alicia Wanhala, Ethan and Tatum Anderson, and Corey and Tiffany Jackson; a sister, Audrey Bergh of Newberry; a special friend, Rick Dessellier of Lake Linden; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents and wife, Ron was also preceded in death by two sisters, Irene Morrison and Betty Wilmers.

As requested by Andy, private funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at the Jukuri-Antila Funeral Home in Hancock, with Fr. John Martignon to officiate.

Spring burial will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Lake Linden.
