The Michigan Technological University hockey team celebrates in front of its championship banner after winning the 48th annual Great Lakes Invitational Sunday at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit. The Huskies defeated Western Michigan 4-0. Head coach Mel Pearson’s Huskies won the tournament for the first time since 1980, during which season Pearson was a Tech player.
