HOUGHTON - School cancellations caused by freezing rain this morning have made an impact on the local sports calendar for tonight.
The following are known postponements:
The Houghton home boys' basketball game vs. Ishpeming is postponed and will be played Thursday.
The Houghton swim meet at GRIMN (Negaunee) will be Monday (Feb. 4).
The Houghton-Hancock ski meet at Blackjack Mountain has been postponed. There is no make-up date yet.
The L'Anse at Baraga boys' basketball game will be played Wednesday.
The Watersmeet at Chassell boys' basketball game has been postponed. No make-up date is available yet.
The Calumet at Houghton hockey game tonight at Dee Stadium will be played as scheduled.
