TRENTON, Mich. - Calumet gained a split from its trip to the MIHL Showcase Saturday, defeating Wyandotte Roosevelt 3-1.
The Kings took the lead with a pair of goals 3 1/2 minutes apart. First Brendan Jacques struck on the power play, then he was followed by a goal from Eric Mattila with 37 seconds remaining in the first period.
Robert Erkkila added a second-period goal while Wyandotte offered just one third-period goal in reply.
Brian Rogers recorded 35 saves for the win.
Calumet (13-8) is scheduled to host Houghton tonight as part of the Valentine's Mass-a-Cure event at Calumet Colosseum.
