Musher Frank Teasley and his 10-dog team head down the snow road on Fifth Street in downtown Calumet to start the fourth annual CopperDog 150 Friday night. Teasley has been a musher for more than 30 years, including a sixth place finish of 74 teams in the 1991 Iditarod, but he was making his first appearance in the CopperDog. The start of the race drew thousands of spectators to Calumet.
Mushers stopped in Eagle Harbor Friday night, and will travel to Copper Harbor today before returning to downtown Calumet shortly after noon on Sunday.
