DOLLAR BAY - Jeffers senior Troy Kinnunen was named Most Valuable Player for 2012-13 in the Copper Country Conference by a coaches' vote released Friday.
Kinnunen, who crossed the 1,000-point threshold for his career Feb. 12 against Watersmeet, averaged 20.2 points this season with a high for conference play of 31 vs. Baraga.
He is joined by three other seniors, a sophomore and a junior on the All-CCC first team.
The junior is Jeffers teammate Alex Outinen, while the sophomore is Lake Linden-Hubbell's Tyler Roose.
LL-H's Jack Kumpula, was named CCC coach of the year.
Two Chassell Panthers are on the first team: seniors Carson Ryynanen and Josh Pietila, as is Ontonagon senior Aaron Kaikko.
Seniors Tom Dunstan (Dollar Bay) and Evan Huhta (Chassell) made second team alongside juniors Luke Monette (Lake Linden-Hubbell), Tony Soumis (Ontonagon) and Zach Owens (Baraga). LL-H sophomore Brett Poissant was the sixth second teamer.
Kyle Karttunen of Ontonagon, Christopher Outinen of Jeffers and Konrad Klein of LL-H received honorable mention.
