BRIGHTON, Mich. - Claude Arthur Remillard passed away peacefully on Jan. 18, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. He was born Dec. 6, 1925, in Lake Linden, son of Arthur and Elizabeth Remillard.
On Oct. 13, 1951, he married Alice T. Kingstrom in Detroit. They resided in Dearborn for 50 years where they raised their family. Claude and Alice moved to Brighton in 2003 and had lived there for the past 10 years.
Claude was preceded in death by his wonderful son, Glen Arthur Remillard; and his four sisters Beatrice Dudenas, Doris Simonen, Gladys Myers and Betty Alexander. The most important thing in his life was his family.
He also worked hard developing his tree farm and was passionate about his trees.
He loved sports his entire life and especially enjoyed the Detroit Tigers, Lions and Red Wings. He loved reminiscing and telling stories. He was a talented dancer and had an infectious laugh. He will be missed greatly by all who loved and knew him.
Prior to his retirement around 1991, he was employed by Central Transport and worked there for 40 years. He was a hard worker and was dedicated to providing for his family.
Surviving are his loving wife Alice Remillard; daughters, Debora North, Geralyn Mason and Claudia Tillison; grandchildren Jessie, Crystal, Garrett, Jacob, Ashley, Darren, Gavin, Austin, Shannon and Chelsea; great-grandchildren, Grace, Elliot, Lila, Ethan, Audrey and Alice.
Burial will take place in Mount Calvary Cemetary in Lake Linden this coming summer.
