LAKE LINDEN - Dolores L. Bourdeau, 92, of Lake Linden, passed away at Garden View Assisted Living in Calumet on Mar. 13, 2013.
She was born Aug. 31, 1920 in Lake Linden, a daughter of Henry and Anna (Boudreau) Schnotala. She attended Holy Rosary Catholic School in Lake Linden and graduated from Lake Linden-Hubbell High School in 1938.
She was married to Edwin W. Bourdeau on Nov. 8, 1941 at the former Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Lake Linden. Edwin passed away on May 17, 1994.
Dolores was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lake Linden and had served in the Altar Society.
She worked with local village and school elections. She liked to read, knit and crochet. Dolores enjoyed being outside and working in her flower garden. She also loved to walk.
Dolores was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son-in-law, Paul Pini; great-grandson, Kenneth Klein, Jr.; brother, Robert (Irene) Schnotala; two sisters, Eileen (James) Dunn and Ann (Robert) Baril.
She is survived by two daughters, Kathleen Pini of Lake Linden and Suzanne (Michael) Hellman of Marquette; six grandchildren, Todd Pini, Lynn (Ken) Klein, Melissa (Jeff) Klein, Joseph (Tammy) Pini, Gregory Hellman and Stephen Hellman; nine great-grandchildren, Konrad, Lucas, Lincoln and Kami Klein, Kellen and Caleb Klein, Kayla Pini, Abigail and Maxwell Hellman; two step-great-grandchildren, James and Megan Marietta; special friend, Betty Dairo; nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, Mar. 18 in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lake Linden with Fr. Francis Dobrzenski to officiate. There will be no public visitation. Spring burial will be in the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Lake Linden.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Aspirus Keweenaw Home Nursing and Hospice.
