MINNEAPOLIS - The Finlandia softball team won all six of its games in a trip to the Twin Cities this weekend.
Finlandia started the trip with 11-3 and 12-9 wins over Northland College Saturday.
In game one, Northland led 2-0 after two but Finlandia put up eight runs in the middle three innings to take control.
Paige Yoho finished 2-for-5 with two RBIs, while Adrianna Osuna and Ashley Benavidez had two hits apiece.
Northland led 5-0 after 2 1/2 innings of the second game, only for the Lions to score all 12 of their runs in their next three at-bats.
Kristen Rose was 2-for-3 with six RBIs, including a fourth-inning three-run homer and a two-run triple in the fifth. Benavidez, Alexis Lawler and Osuna also had two-hit games.
Alyson Herman was the winning pitcher in both games, the second of them in relief.
Sunday, Finlandia defeated Presentation 11-1 in five innings and Bethany Lutheran 8-2. Monday, the Lions stopped Presentation 10-1 in six frames and routed Bethany 12-2.
Sunday, Finlandia scored six runs in the first to seize control against Presentation.
Rose went 3-for-3 with two RBIs and Yoho finished 3-for-4 with an RBI.
Miranda Brewer threw a complete-game two-hitter, allowing one unearned run.
Rose had a double and a homer in game two as part of a 3-for-4 game, while Osuna had two hits and trove in two runs.
Herman allowed two runs on four hits, striking out six.
Monday against Presentation, Lawler went 3-for-4 with five RBIs, including a sixth-inning grand slam. Osuna had two hits and Herman allowed a run on four hits.
In the second game, four players had two hits apiece and four hit home runs.
Finlandia (21-6) plays at Calvin April 12.
