Attendees at the 2012 Kiwanis Family Fair receive information helpful to families from a variety of vendors. This year’s Family Fair will run 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Copper Country Mall.
Children's activities will be set up at the north end of the mall near JC Penney, such as face painting and cookie decorating.
The Keweenaw Bay Fire Department will provide a fire truck for kids to explore, and a magic show will start at 2 p.m. at center court and continue for an hour.
"It was a big hit last year," said organizer John Mansfeldt.
Also at the fair will be more than 20 booths for nonprofit organizations that provide services for families.
"There's so many special activities for the kids, and also the information for all the parents from all the different booths that will be set up, geared towards family health," Mansfeldt said.
More than 400 children are served at the fair each year.
"We tend to see a lot of families return each year," Mansfeldt said. "It's fun to see the children getting older and look forward to coming back every year."
