HOUGHTON - Sayen's Auto pitcher Bryce Turner threw five innings of no-hit relief as his team dumped Aspirus Keweenaw 13-1 in a Portage Lake/Keweenaw Little League Junior (age 13-14) baseball game Tuesday at Hancock Driving Park.

Aspirus put up a run in the top of the first and held the lead into the third inning, but Pat Cortright's two-RBI triple and a Carson Turner RBI single gave Sayen's the lead for good.

Sayen's added two more in the fourth, with Clayton Sayen coming in on a passed ball and Jaden Janke singling in a run.

The hosts blew the game open in the fifth with five runs and added two more in the sixth.

Janke, Turner and Cortright each had two hits for the winners, with Cortright driving in four runs. Turner finished with a line of 11 strikeouts and no walks in five innings pitched. The only baserunner he allowed reached on an error.

In Junior baseball at Kearsarge, Kevin's Self Storage blanked Keweenaw 1 by a 4-0 score.

Hans Stimac combined with Grant Hokenson and Lee Markham on the one-hitter, striking out nine and walking five.

Stimac and Lars Daavettila posted two hits apiece for Kevin's, which took the lead early with a pair of first-inning runs.

Rory Anderson had Keweenaw's lone hit.

In Major (age 11-12) next door at the Driving Park, Pat's Foods edged Team Wireless 7-5.

Pat's jumped out to an early 5-0 lead. Alex Nordstrom singled and scored on Jackson Rocchi's hit. Pat's then drew several walks and took advantage on Cooper Parkila's two-run double.

Team fought back and tied the game with three runs in the second, Kevin Bostwick delivering the key single.

Pat's took the lead later after Bradly Sirard's RBI single. Nordstrom preserved the lead by holding Team without a hit over three innings. He allowed no earned runs, walked just one and fanned seven.
