HANCOCK - FinnFest USA 2013 officially gets going Wednesday with some tour events starting Monday, and it's still possible to register, either online or in person.
David Maki, FinnFest committee member, said online registration (finnfestusa2013.org) closes Friday. However, in-person registration can be done on any day of the festival at the Michigan Technological University Student Development Complex on MacInnes Drive in Houghton.
"You can register for a single day for $30 or you can register for the entire festival for $100," he said.
The FinnFest tori, or market, will take place at the SDC, also, with an entry fee of $2 each day, but only for the tori, Maki said.
"You miss out on a lot of the FinnFest events that way," he said.
Maki said there are also some rooms still available for the festival. For more information about housing, call 370-3110 or visit finnfestusa2013.org.
