CHASSELL - Northstar BP swept a best-of-three series from Pat's Foods to go home champions of the Holly Jean McCullah Memorial women's softball tournament.
Northstar took both of the one-hour games 6-0 and 7-3.
In the opener, both teams missed chances to get runners home in scoring position early before Northstar racked up six runs in its second at-bat.

In game two, BP jumped out to a 4-0 lead early and kept Pat's without a baserunner until the fourth, when it scored twice. BP extended its lead to 6-2 by the end of four frames, and with darkness closing in, Pat's picked up just a single run in its last at-bat.
