The cruise ship Yorktown is shown moored at the Houghton waterfront early this morning. The 257-foot vessel has 69 cabins and can accommodate 138 passengers. The Yorktown, whose home port is New York City, is on the 10th day of an 11-day Great Lakes cruise. According to the Great Lakes Ship Company’s website, the ship left Buffalo, N.Y., on July 29, and will end its cruise Thursday in Duluth, Minn. While in the Keweenaw today, passengers will explore the area, including a visit to the Quincy Mine. Other stops on the cruise included Detroit, Alpena, Mackinac Island, Sault Ste. Marie, Manistique, Pictured Rocks and Marquette.
