HANCOCK - McGann's/Northern Auto rebounded from its first defeat of the season last week to blow out The Goal Post (Team 7) 34-7 Wednesday night and claim the Copper Country men's slowpitch championship they seemed destined to all along.
Behind the sky-high floater of pitcher Steve Aho and some rock-solid defense behind him, McGann's limited a potent Goal Post offense that put 33 runs on the board in the first championship contest.
McGann showed no mercy at the plate, cobbling together 14 runs in the decisive fifth inning to send The Goal Post to defeat.
