HANCOCK - Eleanor E. Lang, 98, of Hancock, passed away on Tuesday morning, August 13, 2013.

She was born in Calumet on August 27, 1914, to the late Samuel and Margaret (Picchiottino) Lucchesi and graduated from Calumet High School.

She married Robert Lang who preceded her death on April 1, 1997. They had made their home in East Hancock where they owned and operated Lake Superior Fisheries.

She was a member of the Church of the Resurrection in Hancock.

Eleanor is survived by her daughter, Margery (Robert) Warner of Texas; her son, Robert (Julie) Lang of Coon Rapids, Minn.; four grandchildren, Linda, Herbert, Megan, and Patrick; four great-grandchildren; and by several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. on Friday at the Church of the Resurrection in Hancock with Rev. Fr. William Ssozi to officiate. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Houghton. There will be no visitation at the request of the deceased.
