Providing a simple answer

October 10, 2013
The Daily Mining Gazette

To the editor:

In response to the LTE 10-3-13 by David Keranen. Most of his questions can be answered in two words: "The Curse." When Adam and Eve sinned; the Heavens and the Earth and everything on it - in it were cursed. All of God's creation was cursed to die.

The whole Bible, from Genesis to Revelation is about Adam being thrown out of God's perfect garden to die and God's grace in receiving mankind back into His tranquil Heaven through His son Jesus Christ; so that we can live.

The last paragraph David wrote was puzzling to me. All the things written in his previous paragraphs mean nothing to a dead man. Jesus by cursing a fig tree to death is proof that Jesus has the power over life and death. Everything we can conceive with our senses will mean nothing when we are dead; "The dead no nothing." (Ecclesiastes 9:5) The Bible says: old things will pass away all things will become new; including the Heavens and the Earth. That, to a believer, means there are more important things to consider than the mere bumpy roads in this life.

Consider life after death for instance? Is it possible? I believe it is. Can we really be born again? I believe we can. I've asked many Biblical questions most of my life and will seek the answers till I die. Here are a few: Why do men have breast and nipples, did Adam breast feed Eve? As a born again believer in Jesus, will my soul really go to Heaven when I die, if yes, where is it written in the Bible? If no, where is that written in the Bible? Is man a spirit being in a body with a soul? What is the soul anyway? Why are the "mind", "heart" and "body" written about so many times in the Bible but the brain, the control center of them all is not written in the Bible anywhere?

Just a thought: "How do we know, maybe germs are demons that make us sick?" Would Jesus be a Democrat or Republican? I think Jesus would be an Independent; that is, independent from all this foolishness going on in politics today.

If we know the truth, the truth will make us free. Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.
