Kings, Bays prevail

CALUMET - Alisa Storm racked up 14 kills Thursday as Calumet wiped out West Iron County 3-0 (25-16, 25-10, 25-7) in WestPAC volleyball.

The Kings got an additional 11 kills from Loretta Anderson.

Terilynne Budreau had all but one of the Kings' 38 assists.

Defensively, Calumet's Megan Yeo accumulated 16 digs, while Morgan Peters and Pam Torola posted seven apiece.

Calumet hosts Negaunee Tuesday.

Dollar Bay 3,

Ewen-Trout Creek 1

EWEN - Eight kills from Jamie Sertich and eight aces from Olivia Hokenson helped Dollar Bay defeat E-TC Thursday.

The teams split the first two sets, with DB taking the first 26-24 and E-TC the second 25-18 before the Bays won both of the last two 25-22.

Samantha Richards had seven kills and five aces for the winners, while Hokenson added 10 assists.

For E-TC, Molly Niemi racked up 14 digs and added a pair of aces.

The Panthers play at Ontonagon Tuesday night.
