BARAGA - Charles D. Stephens, 53, of Baraga, died on Monday afternoon, October 28, 2013, at Cypress Manor in Hancock where he was a resident patient for a short time.
He was born on August 16, 1960 in Flint to the late Charles H. and Gwyn (Collier) Stephens. He worked down-state for a time before moving to Baraga where he worked delivering for Superior Pizza.
On March 23, 1998, he married Rosario "Rose" Torres in Flint. He was a handy person who enjoyed helping friends and neighbors with a variety of projects. He liked C B radios, NHRA drag racing, fishing, and wrestling.
He is survived by his wife, Rose of Baraga; a son, Charles of Flint; four sisters, Trina (Joe) Gorton, Ann (Lee) Ripley, Debbie (Marty) Zibiack, and Kathy (Daryl) Childs; and by many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
A private family memorial service will be held in the O'Neill-Dennis Funeral Home in Hancock on Tuesday with Major Mark Brown of the Salvation Army in Hancock to officiate.
