Rayna Racine

LAKE LINDEN - Rayna Racine, 95, a lifelong resident of Lake Linden, passed away peacefully at Omega House on December 24, where she had been a resident for three weeks.

Rayna was born on September 26, 1918, a daughter of Joseph and Anna (LePage) Paquette. She attended St. Joseph Catholic School.

In 1939 she married Leo Racine in St. Joseph Church in Lake Linden. Leo passed away in 1976.

Rayna loved being with her family and enjoyed being an aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she was in the choir and a member of St. Anne's Altar Society.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brothers, Roland and Alvin; sister, Rose Gray; stepmother, Gabrielle Poirier Paquette; step siblings, Catherine Boire, Larry, Greg and Bert Poirier.

She is survived by her sister, Sandra Hauswirth of Ontonagon; sister-in-law, Patricia Paquette of Lake Linden; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to acknowledge the compassionate care she received at Omega House.

There will be a graveside service for Rayna in the Spring in the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Lake Linden.

The Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Omega House.
