No injuries in Tamarack City fire

January 10, 2014
The Daily Mining Gazette

Firefighters combat a blaze at a home on Spruce Street in Tamarack City Friday afternoon. Departments were called out at about 3:15 p.m. to the fire. Nobody was injured in the fire, Tamarack City Fire Chief Steve Klein said Friday night. However, Klein described the building as "a total loss." The cause of the fire is unknown. Klein said he does not know yet if a Michigan State Police fire marshal will come to the scene. Klein said he did not have further details, as he had not had opportunity to interview the homeowners. In addition to Tamarack City, the Hubbell and Lake Linden departments assisted in putting out the fire.
