HOUGHTON - A pretrial hearing has been set for the Dollar Bay man accused of killing his wife.
Nima Nassiri, 34, of Dollar Bay, stood mute to a charge of second-degree homicide at his arraignment in Houghton County Circuit Court Wednesday. The court treats standing mute as equivalent to a not guilty plea.
The charge states he had intent to kill but the act was not premeditated. If found guilty, he could be sentenced to up to life in prison.
