To the editor:
Under a purple Yooper sky and blazing sun, over 80 x-country skiers and snowshoers, demonstrating a true sense of community, and undaunted by single-digit temps, came out to the Ski for the Key (Ski for the Keweenaw) at Swedetown Trails on Feb. 8 in support of Omega House and Swedetown Trails Club.
Winning skiers were: Steve Parks, Peter Vorhes, Denise Jarvey and Liz Siivola.
Top junior skiers were Suzanne and Alex Dewald. Top snowshoers were: Anna Thompson and John Mancni.
Joe Abb came in as youngest snowshoer.
