3 set to interview for CCISD superintendent

HANCOCK - The Copper Country Intermediate School District Board of Education will continue its search for a new superintendent with the first round of interviews Thursday. After receiving eight applications for the position, board members voted unanimously to invite three candidates to interview. All three may be familiar to locals - Doreen Klingbeil, superintendent of the Houghton-Portage Township district; Darryl Pierce, superintendent of the public schools of Calumet, Laurium & Keweenaw; and George Stockero, superintendent of Chassell Township Schools.
