Far left, cancer survivor Anita Quinn, along with her husband John, lead a group of walkers during the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life Friday at the Houghton High School track. Despite cool and rainy conditions, a large group of cancer survivors and supporters turned out for the event. Stephanie Swartzendruber, American Cancer Society Relay For Life Specialist, said this morning preliminary figures show more than $61,000 was raised during the 24-hour event. The Relay began at 1 p.m. Friday and concluded at 1 p.m. Saturday.
