The Vice President has no power or autority to do anything. And is therefore a meaningless position unless the President is unable to complete his term.

I think that Obama's choice of Senator Joe Biden as a running mate is a smart one. Biden has the experience in Congress and in foreign affairs. These qualities will assist Obama in making informative decisions on our country. Being President is not just one person, you are part of a team, some forget this and just look to the man.
