Jeffers hockey gets win

CHEBOYGAN With the first of three games in three days Thursday, the Jeffers Jets had an opportunity to get back to .500 with a win on the road over the Cheboygan Chiefs. The Jets scored four goals and got solid goaltending from Brendan Sullivan to come away with a 4-2 win.

Sullivan was strong for the Jets, stopping 29 of 31 Chiefs’ shots.

For the Jets, Aaron Hainault, Brendan Middleton, Carl Olson and Stephen Dudenas all found the back of the net.

Darren Nordstrom and Steven Suhonen both picked up a pair of assists. Jake Marcotte and Clay Larson also notched assists on the night.

The Jets will take on Farmington United tonight as part of the Gaylord DIII Challenge. Saturday, the Jets will complete their three-game road trip with a game against Grosse Ile.
