Hancock hockey shuts out Marquette 6-0

MARQUETTE — The Hancock Bulldogs hockey team came into Thursday night’s game against the Marquette Redmen in a bit of tail spin, having lost four in a row. Wanting to right the ship, the Bulldogs jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, earning a 6-0 win.

Alex Nordstrom got Hancock on the board just about a minute into contest. Captain Teddy Randell added two straight, getting his second during a 4-on-4 situation.

Leading 3-0 going into the second period, the Bulldogs and Redmen fought to a standstill before Lance Kangas tipped a puck home on the power play.

In the third period, Teddy Perrault continued his hot hand with a goal before Trevor Tchida struck for his first career goal at the varsity level to cap the scoring.

Hancock returns to action tonight at home against Houghton in the Wing Ding game.
