No. 21 Tech women start season 4-0
CROOKSTON, Minn. — The Michigan Tech women’s basketball team earned a 68-52 victory over Minnesota-Crookston Friday in Crookston to start the season 4-0.
Lindsay Winter continued her strong season for the Huskies as she finished with 18 points, six rebounds and three assists. Kelli Guy also chipped in with 16 points. And Michelle LaFave added 10 points off the bench for her second consecutive game scoring double digits in points.
Tech built a 40-26 lead by halftime and held off Crookston (0-1) the rest of the way.
The Huskies converted 28 of 65 shots (43 percent) and were 6 of 15 from 3 (40 percent).
Tech will have its first home game of the season on Monday at 6 p.m. when they host Minnesota Duluth.
