Finlandia men blown out by No. 8 UW-Oshkosh

OSHKOSH, Wis. — Three players scored in double-figures as the Finlandia University men’s basketball team (1-4) lost 104-60 to No. 8 UW-Oshkosh (6-0), Tuesday night at Kolf Sports Center. 

For the first four minutes, Finlandia was on even terms with UW-Oshkosh. The Titans got up 6-0 but junior Ricky Watson knocked down a 3-pointer. That made it 6-3 at the 17:47 mark.

The Titans reeled off five straight points to make it 11-3 with 16:51 to go. Freshman Myles Ellington unleashed a long-range 3 to pull to five at the 16:30 mark. UWO scored 12 straight points to seal the game.

For Finlandia, junior Austin Carlson, Ellington and Watson scored 10 points apiece.

For UW-Oshkosh, Adam Fravert had 18 points and five assists and Brett Wittchow scored 16.

Finlandia remains on the road, Friday, Dec. 8, taking on Crown. The game is scheduled to start at 8:30 p.m. EST.
