Both Finlandia hockey teams lose again

The Finlandia men’s hockey team (0-13-1 NCHA, 1-19-1) lost 7-1 to No. 1 Adrian (13-1 NCHA, 17-4), Saturday afternoon at Arrington Ice Arena. The Finlandia women lost 4-2 Saturday at Concordia-Wisconsin.

For the women, sophomore Kait Ryynanen and Bella Abear both scored. Concordia scored two goals in the final minute to secure the win.

In her first action, sophomore Sarah Gundry had 34 saves.

On the men’s side, sophomore Garrett Nichol ended the shutout bid with a goal at 15:15 of the second period. Assists came from freshman Curran Klein and junior Cam Wirick. Junior Daniel Spencer had 48 saves.

The FU men return home Friday to take on Northland College. The women host St. Scholastica on the same day.
