ISHPEMING — The L’Anse Purple Hornets dropped an 81-47 decision to the Ishpeming Hematites in a nonconference game Monday in Ishpeming.

“They’re extremely good,” L’Anse coach Scott Lloyd said. “They’re balanced, can shoot and defend. They don’t make a lot of mistakes and are a well-disciplined team … They got the whole package.”

Next, L’Anse will look to snap a five-game losing streak when the team heads to Ontonagon on Monday.
