FOX-UP to televise WCHA Championship

NEGAUNEE — FOX-UP will televise the WCHA Championship Game live on Saturday, March 17 from the campus of Northern Michigan University.

The WCHA Championship Game between the Northern Michigan Wildcats and the Michigan Tech Huskies will be broadcast live from the Berry Events Center.

The game marks the first time these two teams have played for a championship on U.P. soil. This year’s WCHA Championship also marks the debut of the Jeff Sauer Championship Trophy. The winner of the game will also get the WCHA’s automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.

Mark Evans and Dave Ellis will be the announcing team and the FOX-UP broadcast will kick off with an hour pre-game show beginning at 6 p.m. EST followed by the WCHA Championship Game at 7 p.m.
