Campus police: ‘Beware of goose!’

YPSILANTI, Mich. (AP) — Police at Eastern Michigan University have issued a warning about potentially aggressive geese after one attacked and chased a person at a campus parking lot.
The department on Tuesday posted video of the attack on Instagram, urging people to “Beware of goose!”
Police say the lot where the attack happened is on the north end of the school’s Ypsilanti campus. Two geese are nesting there and the birds are protective.
University spokesman Geoff Larcom says it’s not out of the ordinary for geese to nest on campus at this time of year. He says several students have reported goose attacks, but no injuries have been reported.
Larcom tells MLive.com: “A few students have tried to take selfies of the geese when they are hissing, but we advise against that.”
