HOUGHTON — A Hancock man was arrested Thursday afternoon in Houghton as part of a two-month Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team (UPSET) West investigation into heroin dealing.

The man was in a vehicle behind the Daily Mining Gazette, where police vehicles surrounded them about 4 p.m. Wednesday. Another person in the vehicle had yet to be identified, said Michigan State Police Det. Sgt. Jason Wickstrom.

The transaction took place elsewhere in Houghton, he said.

It is possible more people will be arrested, Wickstrom said.
