HOUGHTON — An Eagle Harbor man was sentenced to up to 20 years in prison on child pornography charges last week in Keweenaw County Circuit Court.

Michael Braman, 61, pleaded guilty to three child pornography charges in August.

He was sentenced to three to 20 years on charges of child sexually abusive activity and using a computer to commit a crime. He was sentenced to 32 months to four years in prison for possessing child sexually abusive material.

Braman received credit for 88 days served.

Braman was arrested in July after allegedly possessing more than 100 images of child sexually abusive material, as well as material involving prepubescent children and sadomasochistic abuse or bestiality.

The arrest came after a several-month Keweenaw County Sheriff’s Office investigation spanning assisted by the Michigan State Police Computer Crimes Unit.
