Two arraigned in meth case

HOUGHTON — Two Houghton County residents accused of selling methamphetamine were arraigned in Houghton County Circuit Court Friday afternoon.

Jeremy Brusso, 36, and Kristine Brusso, 34, both of Trimountain, are charged with delivery-manufacture of methamphetamine, a 20-year felony.

They were arrested Friday morning after a two-month Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team (UPSET) investigation.

UPSET detectives executed a search warrant at a residence in Trimountain Friday morning. They seized a small amount of methamphetamine, a scale, packaging, electronics, prescription drugs and money from an earlier controlled buy, according to an UPSET release.

Jeremy Brusso’s bond was set at $10,000 cash. His preliminary hearing was set for 10 a.m. Jan. 22.

Kristine Brusso’s bond was set at $300. Her preliminary hearing was set for 10 a.m. Feb. 7.
