Nat. Geo. Explorer presents at Rozsa

Tuesday night at the Rozsa Center National Geographic Explorer, filmmaker and environmental anthropologist Alizé Carrère showcased some of her experiences in the production of her series “Adaptation.”

From the Ohio River Valley in Kentucky to coral reefs off Vanuatu and mountain peaks of the Himalayas, Carrère has traveled the globe in search of unique solutions to increasing volatility of weather events and issues related to climate change.

Carrère’s research brings her to areas of the world already facing the most severe impacts of climate change. She said the most inspiring part of her research was the revelation that it is not robust innovation, but adaptations that may prove to be the key to creative, sustainable and just societies.

The documentary “Adaptation” is a four part series available for free at pbs.org/show/adaptation/
