ESCANABA & IRON MOUNTAIN, MI – A pair of Copper Country students, attending Bay College are recipients of The Bay College Foundation scholarships. The scholarship program is made possible by the generous support of local businesses, organizations, and individuals who contribute through endowment and annual contributions.

Each year, more than 300 scholarships are awarded to Bay College students fostering their pursuit of higher education. Scholarships are awarded to students based on academic excellence, financial need, program of study, and donor preferences. Students are encouraged to apply for scholarships at www.baycollege.edu/scholarships.

Local students receiving scholarships from Bay for the Fall 2025 semester were Makenna Hendrickson of Baraga who received the Ray and Peg Hirvonen Scholarship and the Josephine Zajkoski Fine Arts Scholarship and Lily Ross of Chassell who was awarded the Greg and Linda Yagodzinski Scholarship.
