COPPER COUNTRY — Superior Health Foundation and Copper Shores Community Health Foundation announced a $20,000 collaborative Food Pantry Grant. Each organization is contributing $10,000 to be distributed amongst seven food pantries across the Copper Country.

“This is a great collaboration with our friends at Superior Health Foundation,” said Kevin Store, president/CEO of Copper Shores. “We’re proud to support local food pantries in their efforts to better support our communities.”

The funding from Superior Health Foundation is a part of their larger commitment to grant $65,000 to food pantries across the Upper Peninsula. By supporting the operations of food pantries across the Copper Country, Copper Shores and Superior Health Foundation are subsequently supporting a broader reach of families and their nutrition access needs.

“Many folks are finding it difficult, despite their hard work and effort, to make ends meet and provide enough food for themselves and their families,” said Store. “We hope this monetary support will ease some of the burden for our friends and families, and those pantries that are there to support them.”
