Police: Hunter died of natural causes

MASONVILLE TOWNSHIP – A Gladstone man died of natural causes while hunting in the Hiawatha National Forest in Masonville Township this past weekend.

David J. Moberg, 68, of 1604 Montana Ave., Gladstone, was hunting with others when he died of natural causes Saturday afternoon, according to the Michigan State Police in Gladstone, which was dispatched to the scene at around 4 p.m. A member of the hunting party drove to an area which had cell service and notified emergency personnel of the death, said troopers. Moberg’s body was recovered from a dense wooded area in the federal forest.
